LUMI proudly adopts a Greyhound. Found wandering on eBay in 2019, our Greyhound sign originally ran from city to city mounted on the side of a 1960s vintage Greyhound bus operating out of Kansas City.
In business since 1914 and taking the Greyhound name in 1929, Greyhound Lines still serves more than 3,800 destinations in North America, making it the largest motorcoach operation in the U.S. and Canada.
With sign restoration graciously funded by Nick and Patty Vedros, our Greyhound stretches to 80 inches in length and is 35 inches tall. Steinmetz Neon restored this classic to its original Greyhound blue color, now backlit with neon.
There’s no way to know how many miles this Greyhound has run, but LUMI is pleased to provide it restful retirement.
