Crest Food Center opened in 1959 at 305 N. Scott Avenue in Belton, MO. It’s classic mid-century signage, consisting of three double-sided neon signs, was built the same year by tube bender and United Sign owner, Griffith “Griff” Pickett.

From the road, this stellar neon giant must have appeared as large as the charming grocery store it served, which closed in the summer of 2010.

In an effort to save this classic, LUMI reached out to its owner, Allan Jones. On behalf of the Jones family, Cindy Jones graciously donated the sign in 2019.
